THE KING'S SON (The Evidence)

As a result of my investigations in to my maternal Grandfather's German lineage (refer to the Home weblink page and The King's Son (The Evidence)) , through using FamilytreeDNA.com's Family Finder test, I was able to also investigate my mother's other lineages going way back in time through all her grandparents.
My mother's ancestral lineages, based on her Grandparents, are geographically separate as follows:
* English (i.e. Shepherd)
* Irish (i.e. Maguire)
Scottish lineage
As a result of the loss of the Battle of Culloden in 1746, and the associated post battle retribution by the forces loyal to the House of Hanover (i.e. King George II), the way of life for the Scottish Highlanders was destroyed - and has never really recovered. As a result, over a period of 100 years after the Battle of Culloden, many Scottish Highlanders emigrated to Canada, West Indies, Australia and New Zealand. As a result, I have many Family Finder cousins in Nova Scotia and other provinces in Canada, plus New Zealand and Australia.
As a result of atDNA Magnification (refer refer Chapter 10.9 of The King's Son (The Evidence)), I quickly discovered that my Scots ancestors were highly "inbreed", which means that solely using atDNA information - makes it very challenging to determine which Scots lineage was related to the correct ancestor of Alexander Hugh McPhee.
Hence additional DNA data is needed using BIG Y testing, so that each male line "sub-lineage" can determined. For instance there are about 30 different Cameron Clan lineages - which makes determining which Cameron lines I am actually related to very difficult to determine.
We are very fortunate to have Alex Williamson's YTREE available to us, as he places all the BIG Y results on to this tree. Given that a number of the Scots lines are R-L21 Haplogroup, then this resource in very valuable to us - to help us solve our Scottish ancestral brickwalls.
Irish Lineage
This particular webpage and its sub-weblinks, relate to my maternal Irish G-GF's line - Ellen Maguire b. 1856 in Yass (175 miles southwest of Sydney), NSW, Australia. Her parents were Irish immigrants from Cootehill, County Cavan, Ireland.
Ellen Maguire's ancestors most likely left Ireland as a result of the precursor to the Irish Potato Famine.
I have discovered, through using the atDNA parsing technique I developed (refer Chapter 8.3 of The King's Son (The Evidence)), that my Irish G-GM Ellen Maguire G-GP's were from the following Irish lines, some of which I have a created sub-webpage below this Irish Maternal Lines webpage:
* Maguire
* Lee
* Shalvey
* O'Brien
* Martin
As a result of atDNA Magnification (refer refer Chapter 10.9 of The King's Son (The Evidence)), I quickly discovered that my Irish ancestors were highly "inbreed", which means that solely using atDNA information - makes it very challenging to determine which Irish lineage was related to the correct ancestor of Ellen Maguire. It is complicated even further, as I have discovered that my parents are also 4th cousins, and share a common lineage with the O'Brien clan! I even believe based on my analysis, that my father has two O'Brien lines - which makes my father and mother triple connected on this Irish O'Brien "side".
